The E.P. Sénéchal Centre presently under construction consists of an important infrastructure for the Grand Falls region. This structure is proven necessary to fill a gap in the region's economic, tourism, cultural, social and athletic development.

Located on Ouellette Street, the E.P. Sénéchal Centre will consist of one ice rink, 1200 seats, a walking track and an exercising room. With the sport activities, the center will also be available for conferences, exhibitions and shows.

Rooms are foreseen to hold seminars, training sessions for the commercial, industrial and professional sectors. These rooms will be equipped with the latest audio-visual technology with internet access. They will also be available for business meetings.



The convention hall will accommodate approximately 300 guests banquet style. Furthermore, the ice rink will be able to accommodate for larger events. A service kitchen (catering) will be available for meal services.

Once the ice is taken out, commercial and industrial exhibitions are foreseen. The Centre will serve different activities; like the regional potato festival, and to different speakers of the region much like the McCain company who holds their yearly farmers' supper, and other businesses will also be able to rent the ice surface or the conference room.

An inside walking track around the ice rink will be accessible to all the people of the region who want to walk especially during the winter season. This will highly contribute to the development of the physical well-being of the people of the region.

The construction of a Regional Civic Centre will serve to develop the region's economy. The construction of this centre is to be completed in the summer of 2009.
