About Grand Falls >>> The Falls and Gorge

The Falls and Gorge! The Saint John River's Grand Inspiration.

Begin your visit at the Malabeam information Centre and hear the legend of the young native girl who saved her village by luring a Mohawk tribe over the great falls and 23 meters (75.5 feet) down into the Gorge!

* With the springtime high water, the Falls swell up offering a fantastic spectacle. Tons of water rush into the basin with incredible force and thundering sound.

Follow our network of hiking trails and walk down 250 steps to the 'Wells in the Rocks' where you'll witness one of nature's wonders. Discover the Gorge which is one and a half kilometers long and rises higher than 70 meters (229 feet)! An exquisite attraction even more amazing and breathtaking by boat.

We also have camping sites next to the La Rochelle center for those who wish to spend a few days visiting our attractions as well as the entire region of Grand Falls.
